Vickie has been supporting births in Canberra since 2001 and has recently decided to take semi-retirement and cut back on birth attendance. It was not an easy decision to make. To reduce the number of births, Vickie will now only take on return clients, women referred by midwives and obstetricians, or women who need particularly specialised help. Do you fall into any of these categories? If so, Vickie would be happy to meet you and your partner for an obligation free talk about your needs. If not, Vickie can give you the names of other great doulas in Canberra.

If you are thinking about doula support, don't leave it too late. Canberra doulas get booked up very quickly.

As part of the celebrations for the centenary of Canberra, UN Women honoured 100 women who have made a difference to Canberra at the 2013 International Women's Day lunch. To be nominated, women must have made a significant contribution to Canberra. The women who were nominated were not all high profile. Most were quiet achievers and influencers who helped shape Canberra.

I was proud, humbled and honoured to be selected as one of the 100 Great Women and extend my sincerest congratulations to the other 99.
